The person who got me hooked on rock and roll....my best friend in 7th grade: Billy Thoeden. He slipped me a tape of AC/DC and the rest is pretty much history.
The Divine MAGgees cd from iTunes. The cd I got was Love Me Like the Roses. Here is my favorite song off the cd. It is called Trouble and so totally fits how I have been feeling recently. I looooove this cd!! Enjoy.
Just wanted to draw your attention to some pretty hot female rock. Just take a gander at the divineMAGgees female rock band website. There is a lot of information about them and their new album slated to hit later this year. You can also listen to their music before you decide whether or not you like them. I was watching the video from myspace they have posted. I really like them alot. I will be waiting to see them really succeed in the coming years. They have a gritty tone that gets back to Janis Joplin but incorporates the new sounds. It's phenomenal music that I could just listen to all day long.

ROCK!
Now, some would say that I am totally head over heels for rock and roll. So far, in fact, that I am trying to learn to play guitar just so I can rock out in my bedroom while listening to P.O.D. and Pearl Jam.
For those of you who don't know who they are, here are some samples:
Now you may look at me wonder why. Why rock? It's the only music that moves me EVERY time. I don't have to be in a mood to listen to rock. I don't have to be looking for any message or comfort. It is what it is. Beautiful, Melodious, and perfect for every mood or season... that is the essence of rock and roll.
I was brought up in a home that appreciated all genres of fine music from classical to the oldies to opera to gospel to blues...to rock. My father is a rocker in his own right. He adds rock riffs and cadences into his blues music. I like to call it rockin' blues.
So you see, rock is in my DNA. I couldn't live if I couldn't rock.
