Do you remember the things you did when you first started using the Web and how it has changed your life?
What a question! I started out on the internet hardcore when I was in college. I took a class on web design and learned how to make sure my phone bill didn't grow to exorbitant amounts by using instant messaging. The class in web design was the springboard for me to dive completely into the web. I learned so much on my own that my class was getting boring. I started making websites on Geocities and Freewebs. I moved up to blogging, then discovered how I could do it for cash and the rest is history.
The holidays are in full effect, so tell us: What's your favorite holiday song? Bonus points if you share it with us!
It's Week 12 of the NFL season. How's your team faring?
Thankfully, I don't have a team. My husband's team, however, has seemingly given up on the season and they are currently losing... a lot. It's sad. If you want a hint as to which team I am referring to, just know that the Man is from New York. They are no longer the hardcore stainless steel tiles they once were. Instead, they have lost all hope of becoming victorious. They are allowing nearly every team to squash them like so many New York roaches.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
I am thankful that my family is alive and well. I am thankful that even if I can never get to an orlando vacation rental, that I still have the love of my family. I am thankful that I was able to buy us the 360 that I wanted to get. I am thankful that my husband has an opportunity to become whatever it is his heart desires. Thank You Jesus!
Black Friday is the unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season. When are you planning on beginning your holiday shopping?
Sponsored by Best Buy. Find holiday gifts for everyone on your list.My shopping starts the night before Black Friday because there are some deals on Thursday night late. My shopping also extends into Cyber Monday if there is something I missed. This year I am only buying 3 gifts. My husband, my son, and a family present.
With so much information on the Web, how do you stay organized online?
I use my bookmark bar. It is awesome at keeping track of what I like and use every day.
What’s the first thing you do when you log on to your computer every day?
I go to facebook and check out who said what to me, then get into my apps, then I get down to work. I love social networking but hate it at the same time.
If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? What's keeping you from making that change?
Where I live at this moment. I can't change it because there is nothing I can do. Either that other apartment gets finished soon or we just stay here for even longer. The thing is, I have no other options at this point. *sigh*
How will you use technology or the Internet to help you plan and prepare this year’s Thanksgiving feast?
Sponsored by LifeScoop: Bringing You Tips for a Connected Lifestyle.Well, I dont get to have Tday dinner this year as I would normally, so the only way it will help is coordinating with other people to see where they will be. :( I like cooking for the big holidays. I get all excited and my expertise comes shining through. It's the only time I really showcase most of my cooking talent in one shot.
What was your favorite class in high school? (And no, lunch doesn't count.)
I would have to say Journalism was my absolute favorite class. I had thought to make journalism into my career, but GOD had other plans for me. I still use many of the skills I learned in journalism and advertising with our ministries and businesses today, but if I had pursued those avenues my life would be much different now. Not better, mind you, but different.
Choir was not really a class, as it was the joy of my life. It was more like an ego requirement so that I could get in good with the teacher who was also the drama instructor and be able to showcase my talents in both arenas, which I did.
