My stomach is totally buggin'. I can be full for hours then all of a sudden I feel like an appetite suppressant has worn off and BAM! I'm starving! Of course, I have been opting for the more healthy foods when that occurs, but dang does it hurt while trying to make a rational decision. It's hard to look at an apple and say YEAH that is what I need instead of grabbing the first thing in front of you that will make the horrific hunger pangs cease. LOL!
I screwed up in a good way this morning. Last night I had decided to wake up this morning and make
What's your favorite midnight snack?

Depends on the night. Mostly I like to eat things smothered in chocolate. I would love some chocolate cake with chocolate chips, chocolate frosting, and chocolate syrup ... and a glass of plain milk ;)
Yeah I was thinking of panini when I made this tonight. My mother suggested something about using my newly acquired wheat pita in a sandwich with chicken breast. What was born of that is only what I can call:

For a full sit-down dinner with several guests, would you rather be the one cooking or do you prefer to just show up and eat?
Depends on who the guests will be and who would be cooking. I enjoy making large dinners for my family + my mother/father/sisters/cousins/aunts. It's great to see their faces contort in sheer delight when they taste my latest cooking creation.
What is your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table?

Where do I get my recipes for authentic Puerto Rican food? Two websites in particular help me to fake the funk, so to speak.
I can make a mean pot of rice and beans. I got the recipe for it at El Colmadito. I also look for help from El Boricua. I prefer the first site, but the other is also helpful. My husband made the arroz con gandules that is featured on the second site tonight. I prefer the pigeon peas to the green beans. You can also make the rice with black beans or kidney beans. Sometimes my father in law makes the kind with white beans...that one is superb, too.
