I might have to go around with permanently fixed safety equipment on at all times. The electric decided to pop off 3 times within 20 minutes late last night. I am hoping and praying it doesn't do it again. The electric guys said there is no hot wire, no real reason why this should be happening. They did stuff outside. They did stuff inside. They checked. They tested...and wouldn't you know that the electric stayed on the entire time they were here? EVERY TIME!!! It would have gone off right before they showed or right after they left. They can't do much when they aren't here to see or hear the problem. UGH! We have had electricity steadily all day. I hope that we don't have any more problems for the rest of the few months we will be here... *sigh*

I know where I was. In my apartment, freezing my toes off! The electricity went out at 3:30am due to the ridiculously high winds in our area. We usually get our electricity back on within a few hours, but not yesterday. The winds kept it virtually impossible for the electric workers to get the grids back up and running. Once they would fix one, another would go down. Four thousand people, including my family, were lighting up their candles at sundown last night. Thankfully, we did not have to wait till 4pm today, as projected, to get our electric and heat back on. This morning around 6am we heard the gorgeous hum of power surging back into our home. I tell you, every time we are without power or heat, I thank God all the more for that specific technology.
