Inspired by a fellow voxer, I have posted a new edition of my podcast called The Meltdown: Choose Your Mood. Check it out. See who the voxer was, and share in the joy of wishing my mother a happy birthday.
OMG I woke up with the beginnings of a migraine. I mean I did drink a Bacardi Silver Mojito late last night, but it wasn't like I took shots of rum or anything. Of course, drinking any sort of rum usually gives me a headache...but that was LAST NIGHT!! GAH!!! Tylenol (generic of course) isn't even touching the pain. I might have to break down and make some crysanthemum tea so I can get rid of this thing pronto. I mean, it's 2 in the afternoon and it suddenly got worse! I wasn't feeling great anyway with my allergies, this cough, and my blurry eyes. I started to feel a wee bit better last night and I really wanted to taste this mojito, see if it was anything like my favorite mojito gum. I like the gum WAY better for taste as well as lack of migraine afterwards.
What was the best thing about your weekend?
I got to spend time with some of my favorite people this weekend. Here they are in list form, but in random order:
Mom
Dad
Sister V
Husband
The Kid
Miss Mary
Bradrian (brian/adrian)
And we partied...and we had an awesome time. I met new people this weekend, too.
My sister moving into her new apartment was a joyful occasion. Hanging out with my parents today and our friends across the street was also a joyful occasion. We were already talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm not quite ready to break out the Christmas invitations just yet, though. Still have to find out if we are planning to do either (or both) events here again. I love cooking big meals for people once in a while. It gives me a chance to experiment with food and show off my creativity. :D Anyone else making plans for November and December yet?
What is your legacy?
Submitted by Beautifully Broken.
I don't think I have one yet (other than my gorgeous son)...but I am working on it (ministry wise) :)
I don't like the question of the day, since I have no intention of ever touching an iPhone let alone buying one, so I am making up my own QOTD.
What is your dream car? How would you trick it out?
I think that my ultimate dream car would have to be a dark purple corvette. Not just any corvette, a 1974 STINGRAY. Those things are sweet! It's not like a regular corvette that might catch your eye while it is zooming past. No, you know when a Stingray is on the scene. No one can resist stopping to look at the beauty sliding by...yeah...I got chills! I would definitely have to trick it out with a few Corvette accessories. Stingrays look like they are in motion while they are standing still. They make you feel like you are swimming when you are on land. They make you feel like you are floating when your feet are on the ground. *drools* Just too much love for that one car. I couldn't possibly ever have one because I would probably worship it and God would get angry...so for now it is just a dream (until I can just love it like a brother).
Here is a picture I got from Canpages.ca .. never knew they stretched one into a limo:
Really really badly. I wish I could get another one. It is going to cost in excess of 200 bucks to fix the laptop that I have, which includes a new laptop memory and soldering of the plug. It would be much better if I just bought another laptop. That won't be for a while, though, which sucks. I hate being chained to my desk all day trying to work. I would like to be able to sit on the couch in a comfortable position to email and type and whatnot. I bet you that my book would have been done by now if I could. Anyone want to donate a nice laptop they have no need for anymore? I would be more than willing to pay shipping ;)
