Bipolar Disorder and Depression across the Web

Questions about bipolar disorder and depression have been found across Yahoo!Answers.Graham's blog is a lovely mish-mash of life and revelation through his experiences with bipolar disorder. Alcohol abuse is higher in bipolar sufferers, research has just updated about this phenomena...makes perfect sense to me, though. Depression itself leads people down dark pathways of addiction to different substances or sensations.
Children who suffer from bipolar may respond well to changes in diet. There isn't a whole lot to go on with the article, but it is a basis for exploration.

You know when I took my daughter in for testing at the age of 8 her diagnosed came back with bi-polar type 1 with psychotic tendencies. She now as the PDD (autism dx), after further testing. The Drs though did just add the PDD, so she still has the official dx of bi-polar 1.
One day they may figure out what is going on with her!
The moral of this long comment is that I know alot about bi-polar because of her diagnosis at a young age. :)
