Whoooo! We are one month closer to our lovely out of town date weekend. We had our choice of 3 hotels in the area where his cousin is getting married. I didn't choose the  Hilton Head rentals because they were out of our price range this time. I got something nice, but well within our budget down the road a bit. I think it's more economical to put our money into the activities that we are going to find out there. I think I want to visit Martha's Vineyard. That would be so awesome.

What was your first car?

My first car was a Ford Minivan, which I never got to drive. I gave it to my parents...then it died. They bought me a Ford Tempo. It was ashy dark blue with a little red bumper someone had replaced in the front. My dad ended up painting it, but I thought it gave the car character. I have a picture burned in my memory. That little car saved my life once. I will never forget it.

What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble? 

Is forgetfulness a personality trait if it persists for longer than 3 years? I think it is. It's the one that gets me into the most problems...with myself & my husband.

Not a letter as in a long letter to congress, but kind written with a permanent pens across the top of a workbook page. My son has just learned the power of an A as opposed to an A+ or a B. Why? Because he wanted to know. He hears all his cousins are getting A's in school, so he wanted to know why they were so excited. Of course, now I have to reassure him that no matter what letter I boldly scrawl across the top of his page, the only thing that matters is if he actually "got it", if he understood the material, and if he can use it in every day life. I am glad that the power of the letter is not holding him hostage as it once did to me.
